what with the onset of chillier weather, some of my more prominent summertime playmates heading back to school, and my impending trip to new york bumping my production deadlines up by two weeks, i've been spending more of my evenings lounging about the house getting work done or just snoozing on the couch while episodes of seinfeld play on tv.

i felt bummed out anticipating this change -- the inevitable end to the procession of late nights and constant activity -- but it feels good to be stationary for a bit. i'm well-rested and bright-eyed, on time for work, on top of my responsibilities. it's a balance i needed restored, and i'm glad for it. for now, anyway.
